iTicket: Automated management of transport tickets

iTicket is an automated transport ticket management system accessible via a web and mobile platform.

In Dakar, Senegal, eight out of ten motorised journeys are made by public transport. Of these, 70 % are provided by small-scale transport, with nearly 2,000 vehicles accounting for more than 50 % of public transport journeys, or more than 500,000 passengers a day.

Senegalese start-up Amarante, which took part in the Digital Africa competition supported by AFD, BPI and French Tech in 2016, has developed this automated transport ticket management system via a web platform and mobile application.
