The association handicap.sn, which was set up on 21 April 2008 under receipt no. 13310/MINT/DEL/AS, is made up of young professionals (lawyers, public and private sector employees, consultants, entrepreneurs, teachers, IT specialists, artists, technicians, hairdressers, stylists and shopkeepers), as well as students, school pupils, the unemployed, etc.

The main aim of handicap.sn is to help train and promote new technologies to support people with disabilities through innovative community projects.

Today, the association has more than two hundred members and supporters in every region of Senegal, making an effective contribution to ongoing projects.

Unlike some other Disabled People's Organisations (DPOs), handicap.sn is positioned as a Disability Support Organisation (DPO). In addition to its disabled members, it includes other stakeholders who are not disabled people.
