The Centre de Formation Professionnelle et Technique (CFPT) Sénégal-Japon (Senegal-Japan Vocational and Technical Training Centre) stands out for its recognised expertise in the field of training maintenance technicians. Since its creation, our mission has been to train qualified professionals ready to meet the challenges of the industrial sector. We are committed to providing quality training that meets the needs of today's labour market and technological requirements.

History of CFPT-SJ

Founded in 1984, the CFPT-SJ is the fruit of fruitful cooperation between Senegal and Japan. In its early days, the centre focused on training maintenance technicians to support Senegal's industrial development. Thanks to this initiative, CFPT-SJ quickly gained a reputation as a key player in the country's vocational training system.

Training for Intermediate Technicians

Over the years, the CFPT has broadened its scope to include the training intermediate technicians. These technicians play an essential role in liaising between the technical managers and the workers in the field. They are trained to intervene effectively on industrial equipment, guaranteeing its smooth operation and availability.

Adapting to technological needs

Since 1999, CFPT-SJ has adapted its training programmes to train senior technicians. This development is in response to technological advances and new market needs. As a result, the training maintenance technicians becomes more relevant and effective.

Continuing Education Programmes

In addition to its initial training courses, since 1989 the CFPT has been offering continuing education programmes. These advanced training modules are available to more than 3,200 professionals, not only from Senegal, but also from 15 other African countries. Our ongoing training courses enable these technicians to update their skills and familiarise themselves with the latest technological innovations in the field of maintenance.
